OVERVIEW
An
IOSH competency course designed for those with responsibility for
implementing requirements of an Environmental Management System. The
course examines the potential impact of organisations on the
environment, the legal system of control and the fundamentals of
environmental management practice.

The course
assessment involves course work evaluation together with a
short examination at the end of the course. Successful delegates will
be awarded an IOSH certificate.

The fee
includes comprehensive course
documentation, registration, project assessment and
examination
fee.
EXAM
INFORMATION
The exam is a
closed book
written exam which is held on day 5 of the course. This has a
multiple choice plus short question format. Time allowed is 1
hour. Pass mark is 50%.
A practical report is also required. This has to be completed
within 2 weeks of completing the course and involves completing a
proforma provided by IOSH. Essentially it is an environmental
risk assessment to be carried out over a period of approximately 3
hours. The delegate chooses an area at work to carry out the
assessment. Pass mark is 50%.
