COURSE OVERVIEW
The
NEBOSH
International General Certificate in Occupational Safety &
Health is an internationally recognized health and safety qualification
from an established independent examination board with over 25 years'
experience in providing up-to-date and relevant examinations. The
National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH)
is registered in United Kingdom. (For more details,
see www.nebosh.org.uk )
This
course has been developed for multinational organisations in all
sectors, mindful of international standards or
directives and at the same time adaptive to local needs. It seeks to
provide an excellent
underpinning knowledge of health and safety, as well as a sound basis
for
evaluating (and managing) potential hazards and risks. The
syllabus incorporates international,
technical and other standards where they exist. In other cases,
requirements and practices that represent 'good practice' are followed.

of health and
safety — regardless of local legal requirements.

responsibilities, e.g. managers, supervisors, safety officers, and
non-safety specialists, etc. who need a grounding and a
recognised qualification in occupational safety and health.

BENEFITS FOR
COMPANIES
In
today's working environment, 'Safety' plays a key role in the success
of
any company. Ensuring
that line managers have a sound understanding of the principles of
managing risk is a key building block of an effective safety culture.
The
NEBOSH
IGC will benefit organizations with a global presence,
especially
those which are seeking to implement good health and safety
management across all areas of their operations, in accordance
with international standards. The course provides a
means of improving the safety awareness of company employees,
particularly those involved in operations that are directly related to
safety.
