He is an MOM approved WSH Auditor, Risk Management Consultant and MOM trainer under the Approved Training Provider scheme, Workplace Safety and Health Officer, Environment Control Officer, Fire Safety Manager and Confined Space Assessor.
As a MOM trainer, Jason has conducted numerous training classes for bizSAFE level 1, 2 and 4 training, Safety Committee Training, Basic Industrial Safety and Health for Supervisors, Building Construction Safety Supervisors Training, Construction Safety Orientation Course and SOC (Metalworking) for workers; designing and conducting customised WSH training for in-house courses targeted at workers, supervisory and management level. He is also an approved tutor for NEBOSH HSW, IGC and ICC.
As an independent Accident Investigator he has appeared as an expert witness for civil court cases in workplace accident claims. Jason brings a wealth of knowledge and local experience to the team.
Sunny is an IRATA Assessor/ Trainer and certified ACTA instructor, this ensures local courses that are conducted and developed within KBA are carried out according to the requirements set out in the guidelines.
Sunny has a wealth of 12 years of experience in the onshore/ offshore oil and gas industry, mainly in structural construction sector. He manages the daily operations of the Rope Access, ‘Work at height’ related training and course development.

Joe is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), he brings over 18 years international experience in various roles across Europe and Asia. He currently holds the post of Vice Chairman of the IChemE in Singapore and is a council member of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES), Deputy Chairman of the Chemical Engineering Technical Committee and also chairs the Process Safety Sub-Committee.
He graduated from Loughborough University with a Masters in Chemical Engineering and a Diploma in Industrial Studies. He then worked for a number of years in Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Operations in locations such as China, Holland, Spain, Switzerland, Singapore and the UK as well as being a client representative managing the primary and sub-contractors through design, construction, commissioning and into production for large projects.
Joe has chaired many HAZOP’s and SIL assessments for many of the Multi National Companies. He was also the lead process engineer on a NCE (New Chemical Entity) project in Singapore that had 6 chemical weapon precursor materials in the process. Joe has also designed a contained multi phase relief system using the DIERS methodology that was handling pyrophoric material for a project that won the international 2001 IChemE Safety award.
Joe is also an adjunct lecturer at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (dept. now ranked 7th globally). Joe also sits on Industry Advisory Panels for both the School of Chemical and Life Sciences at Singapore Polytechnic and Taylors University in Malaysia.

Trevor is a UK Fire Service Manager with 20 years operational frontline experience in the UK. Trevor has worked as a trainer for one of the UK’s largest live fire training centres for 4 years, assisting in the training of fire fighting recruits, commercial and industrial fire fighters to the very highest standard in addition to providing community fire service information and risk based initiatives.
Trevor is a qualified in building design, with knowledge of building construction. He is a FPOS First Aid Instructor, Breathing Apparatus Instructor and UK NVQ Assessor for Fire Trainees, holding a Level 4 safety qualification, IOSH Managing Safely, Institute of leadership and Management certificate, and many other fire service related qualifications.
Trevor is a knowledgeable Fire fighter with experience in all operational duties, necessary to save life and reduce property damage. He is an experience trainer including community fire safety, fire safety courses and fire fighting techniques including extinguishing and preventing fires, RTC extradition methods, water and emergency rescue, safe working at Height rescue. As such he is able to bring this knowledge to our students via case studies and practical application in addition to assisting candidates to achieve CIEH or NEBOSH qualifications; he is an approved tutor for NEBOSH Fire Certificate (IFC).
Paul has been a practising occupational health and safety professional since 1992 and is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner with IOSH, a fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health and a Registered Consultant on the Occupantional Safety and Health Consultants Register administered by the UK HSE. He has experience in working in multi - site retail (food and non-food), manufacturing, heavy engineering (shipbuilding, military vehicles, aircraft, trains), construction, agriculture, waste, quarry and railway industry environments and can use this knowledge to provide proactive, practical assistance to a wide variety of industry sectors.
Professional qualifications include a BSc (Hons) Applied Biological Sciences, NEBOSH Diploma, Certificate in Safety Programme Auditing, Environmental Management Certificate, Construction Site Managers Safety Certificate (SMSTS) and an NVQ A1 Assessors Certificate.

Keith joins KBAT with 37 years’ training experience including Environmental and Occupational Safety & Health. He is a fully qualified and experienced UK Environmental Health Officer specialising in Occupational Safety & Health across a wide range of environments.
Starting his career as a member of Fleet Health & Safety Inspection Team (British Royal Navy) he has worked as an Enforcement Officer and is the Ex-Head of Health & Safety and Industrial First Aid Faculty at a leading UK educational establishment in addition to being a tutor at a well-known UK University and Radiation specialist.
Having achieved his Graduate Diploma in Environmental Health, Higher Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health, Masters Degree in Business Administration [Distinction in Strategic Management] and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies, Keith has became an independent Health & Safety Consultant working in a wide variety of environments including training and examinations for NEBOSH and IOSH.

Richard began his working life as an apprentice carpenter and joiner and has worked in construction, served in the British army and worked as a teacher in Further Education before becoming a full time health and safety practitioner in 2004.
He holds the NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma in Health and Safety and the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management and is also a qualified and experienced health and safety management systems lead auditor. He has a Diploma in Management Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Adult Education. He is a Graduate member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and is currently working towards achieving his Chartered status. Richard is also a full member of the Education and Training Foundation.
Since becoming a full time health and safety practitioner, Richard has worked for local government, provided health and safety services for the construction, engineering, retail, services, education and catering industries and has worked as a full time health and safety manager for the construction of a bio-mass power station.
His passion is training and development and he constantly strives to ensure that the training he delivers is not only relevant but interesting. Richard believes that his ‘muddy boots’ experiences in the construction industry, the self-discipline that he learnt in the military and his more recent experiences as a health and safety practitioner places him in the ideal position to provide practical health, safety advice training.

Derek began his working life serving in the British Army, Royal Engineers. After serving his military service, Derek moved into the construction industry and worked his way up to Senior Site Manager before moving into training in 2007.
He holds the Level 5 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Level 3 & 4 City and Guilds Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Tutor for Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), Derek is also a qualified and experienced construction vocational qualification assessor. He is a Graduate member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is currently working towards achieving his Chartered status. A member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a chartered construction manager. He is an approved tutor for NEBOSH ICC as well as IOSH MS, BSM, CS, WS.
Since becoming a full time health and safety practitioner and trainer, Derek has worked for various national and international providers delivering health and safety training within many sectors, such as construction, engineering, retail, services, network rail, oil and gas.
Derek believes that his ‘hands-on’ experiences in the construction industry, has allowed him to develop the necessary level of competence to provide a well-balanced informative training course, with a level of interaction that suits all delegates.
Derek’s main hobbies include rugby, golf and ballroom/sequence dancing.
John began his career as a time-served Electrician. Returning to university and graduating as a Marine Engineer. Working through the ranks to become Chief Engineer. John’s passion for Health and Safety found him returning once again to study, completing multiple NEBOSH certificates and recently completing a Diploma of Management, via the Maritime Training Academy / University of Portsmouth, heavily focusing on Safety and Security Management, Emergency Preparation and Response.
Amassing more than 30 years’ of experience (across Europe, the Americas and Australasia) in Operational and Managerial Environment, Health and Safety, John specialises in the Fire, Safety & Rescue, Electrical, Construction (Civil and Shipbuilding), Mining, Oil & Gas and Maritime Industries (both onshore & offshore).
As Chief Engineer, on new build vessels, John’s role was responsible for developing and implementing vessel Health, Safety and Environment Protection Policies and Safety Management Systems. Providing training to key crew in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, Control and Mitigation Measures. Including Electrical Safety Awareness and High Voltage Training / Safe Systems of Work / Permit to Work / Job Safety Analysis / Confined Space Entry / Working Aloft / Lock Out - Tag Out Systems, and Safety inductions for new crew and contractors.
On the practical side, having served as a Firefighter, First Responder and as part of the Mine Rescue Team, during his apprenticeship, he was involved in multiple Fire emergencies, and Search and Rescue operations. As Chief Engineer in operational charge of all emergency situations onboard, his role was responsible for developing and conducting emergency drills and instructing crew on procedures for saving life, property and the environment at sea.
John is now working as a freelance Health and Safety trainer/consultant, currently delivering NEBOSH IFC, IGC, ICC, IOG, HSW and EAW courses. He instructs, coaches and mentors students with great empathy, having achieved multiple NEBOSH certificates.
He is a Technical member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and is currently working towards achieving Graduate status.
Alan joined KB Associates in January 2006 as the Training Manager bringing to the company 25 years experience in the offshore diving industry mainly employed as a Life Support Supervisor. He has worked offshore Asia, North Sea, North & Central America for all the major diving contractors.
Having worked on mobile saturation systems and on many DP DSV systems he has been involved with Saturation projects from 18m to 250m working depth using heliox, trimix and Nitrox.
Alan is a OHSAS18001 safety management system trained auditor and also often works as a audit team member for KBA. He has successfully completed the IOSH Managing Safely and NEBOSH International General certificate in Occupational Safety and Health; he is currently an approved tutor for these two courses plus NEBOSH HSW, HSEP, IOG and IOSH Incident Investigation, BSM, CS, LS and WS. Alan has excellent training skills and is able to pass over his wealth of experience and knowledge using the structured KBA Training system for our IMCA approved training courses.
Having recently attended the Divelab / DSI-KM Basic Helmet Technician trainers' course he is one of the KBA Training Centre - Helmet technician training team for the DSI-KM approved courses.
Alan previously worked as a communications specialist for 9 years in the British Army until he become involved in the Marine Trades in 1999. He subsequently worked as a captain on various commercial and diving vessels in the Caribbean, UK and Australia, before concentrating on a commercial diving career in 2001. Alan is a qualified Association of Diving Contractors (UK) diving supervisor, HSE surface supplied part 1 diver and a diver medic, who has extensive experience with construction projects, commercial shipping and MOD naval contracts in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Alan is passionate about diver training and the development of safe diving standards. Before joining KBA Alan was an HSE commercial diver instructor/trainer at the University of Plymouth, UK. Alan is also an OPITO Assessor - with Alan's practical experience within the surface diving range of the industry and extensive technical knowledge, he brings to KBA additional support for our diving related training, competence assessment and consultancy areas of business in the role of diving specialist.
Daniel’s vocation was that of a Commando Specialist and Instructor for 5 years in the Singapore Armed Forces before he found his niche in the Commercial Diving Industry. Daniel is a qualified Diving Supervisor and certified offshore surface supplied air diver who has expansive experience with commercial shipping projects.
In addition, Daniel is a certified ACTA professional and holds the Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) as well as various other WSQ certifications. Since joining KBA Training, Daniel has acquired other competencies such as, Kirby Morgan Maintenance and Repair Technician, the Singapore Harbor Craft Manning License. Daniel’s high aptitude as a trainer stems from his practical experience in Singapore’s Commercial Diving Industry coupled with his experience as an Instructor in the 1st Commando Battalion, thus making him a valuable addition to the KBA Training team.
Wayne Lee joined KBAT in February 2009 as a Diver Medic Trainer, having spent his career with the Singapore Armed Forces and deployed in areas such as earth quake relief, Tsunami relief and as a medic trainer at the SDF training school, he brings to KBAT a wealth of training expertise and field experience. A qualified First Aid International Instructor, Wayne is also certified as a Diving & Hyperbaric Medical Trainer hence offering diverse range of medical expertise. He is an approved tutor for IMCA Diver Medic Technician, DMTR, Occupational First Aid and Diving First Aid course.
In keeping with the local development, Wayne is an ACTA certified instructor to ensure local courses that are conducted and developed are carried out according to the requirements set out in the guidelines and has recently certified as MOM / NRC Trainer
Pebbles has completed her Diploma in Kaplan and successfully attained Diploma in Commerce (Finance and Banking) in April 2014. She has since converted from contract staff to full-time employment.
She has also completed her Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) and Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (ACWSH) and is now certified to assist in our training department as a First Aid Trainer. She is a CRR+AED and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor / Assessor accredited by National Resuscitation Council (NRC) Singapore.
She is also a Safety Coordinator who conduct safety induction and partake in company RA for all training and operations alongside with our Safety Officer. She supports all trainers and assists all the departments for general administrative support, preparation of course materials as well as ad-hoc assignments from the management.
She is in-charge of the CRM Management overseeing the usage of CRM system and users.
Johnny previously worked as a combat medic specialist for 14 years in Singapore Armed Forces and he was also a Course Senior instructor of SAF Medical Training Institute for paramedic level 1, level 2 and level 3 Course. During his service, he has been deployed in Timor Leste (INTERFET - International Force East Timor) as one of the medical elements. He is now working as industrial paramedic for projects in oil and gas industry.
Johnny is a level 4 paramedic with (advance life support training) in Justice Institute of British Columbia. He is a full ACTA certified trainer and was appointed as chief instructor for CPR+AED course for KBA Training Pte Ltd (Medical Training Department).
