An entry level for the certification of IRATA to get started in the Industry. Minimum age requirement shall be 18 years old. As the course will be physically challenging, participants must be physically and medically fit and will learn the techniques of rope access maneuvers on a pre rigged rope course. Participant will also learn a basic rescue and hauling technique.
To be a professional and certified IRATA rope access technician, with the ability to work in any difficult to access or work at height situation.
Upon successful completion of the course, learner will be able to perform a specified range of rope access tasks under the supervision of a Level 3 rope access safety supervisor. He/she will be:

The Level 1 course is open to candidates 18 years and above who are medically and mentally fit to undergo the physical aspect of rope manoeuvre. Technicians with Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications should have the required hours of experiences prior to proceeding to the next level.
The course is assessed by an independent IRATA approved assessor. It includes a short written/objective multiple-choice paper and practical scenarios.
Delegates who have attended and successfully completed both the practical & written assessments will be awarded an IRATA Level 1 certificate, IRATA logbook and ID card.
Note: Upon enrolment, delegate will receive e-copies of TACS, ICOP, IRATA Safety Bulletins, IRATA Topic Sheets and physical copy of KBAT's Training Manual.
