To be a professional and certified IRATA rope access technician, with the ability to work in any difficult to access or work at height situation.
Upon successful completion of the course, the experienced rope access technician will be able to perform more complex tasks under the supervision of a Level 3 rope access safety supervisor. He/she will be:
5-Day course including assessment. The instructor-to-trainee ratio is 1:6.
Current Level 1 rope access technicians or candidates who wish to apply for upgrade must have a minimum of 1000hrs logged working hours with varied experience as a Level 1 rope access technician over a minimum period of 12 months.
Note: Candidate must apply for re-validation or upgrade before the expiry date of his/her current IRATA certificate.
The course is assessed by an independent IRATA approved assessor. It includes a short written/objective multiple-choice paper and practical scenarios.
Delegates who have attended and successfully completed both the practical & written assessments will be awarded an IRATA Level 2 certificate and ID card.
Note: Upon enrolment, delegate will receive e-copies of TACS, ICOP, IRATA Safety Bulletins, IRATA Topic Sheets and physical copy of KBAT's Training Manual.
