The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme helps workplace safety and health (WSH) officers stay up to date and expand their knowledge. If you are a WSH officer in Singapore, you are required to take part in the CPD programme. SSG Approved / SFC eligible Skills Development Fund (SDF) Training Grant is eligible for Company-sponsored or Self-sponsored applicants and only Singaporeans and PRs.   The list of courses below SFC eligible and applicable to Singapore citizen only. “All Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit from the government to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses. Distance Learning Techniques are Not Accepted by IMCA for the Delivery of Any Diving Division IMCA-Approved Training Courses

INDUSTRY NEWS IMCA has issued an information note (IMCA D 06/19) that 'Distance Learning Techniques are Not Accepted by IMCA for the Delivery of Any Diving Division IMCA-Approved Training Courses'. The issurance of this circulation is due to news that IMCA Trainee Air Diving Supervisor (TADS) courses are being offered through a distance learning package, and some certificates indicating satisfactory TADS course completions have been issued to persons who have not attended and passed complete face-to-face classroom-taught TADS courses. IMCA Introduces a NEW EXAM PROTOCOL for Diving Supervisors & Life Support Technicians

INDUSTRY NEWS With effect from 1st May 2019, IMCA has introduced a new exam protocol for Diving Supervisors and Life Support Technicians (IMCA Information Note D 05/19).  As safety critical positions, it is essential that candidates are able to demonstrate convincingly that they have the necessary aptitude, knowledge and skills to fulfil these roles. In brief, exam applicants will only be allowed to sit the examination for a maximum of three (3) times.  Upon failing at the 3rd attempt, the candidate will have to wait for a period of two (2) years before being allowed to re-enter the qualification scheme. ...
