INDUSTRY NEWS IMCA has issued an information note (IMCA D 06/19) that 'Distance Learning Techniques are Not Accepted by IMCA for the Delivery of Any Diving Division IMCA-Approved Training Courses'. The issurance of this circulation is due to news that IMCA Trainee Air Diving Supervisor (TADS) courses are being offered through a distance learning package, and some certificates indicating satisfactory TADS course completions have been issued to persons who have not attended and passed complete face-to-face classroom-taught TADS courses. INDUSTRY NEWS With effect from 1st May 2019, IMCA has introduced a new exam protocol for Diving Supervisors and Life Support Technicians (IMCA Information Note D 05/19).  As safety critical positions, it is essential that candidates are able to demonstrate convincingly that they have the necessary aptitude, knowledge and skills to fulfil these roles.
